On Saturday I went tubing for the very first time on the Apple River! Our plan was to walk to DQ and take one of the shuttle buses over to the main tube rental but the stubborn bus driver wouldn’t let us so Josh & Gerber had to walk all of the way back over to the house and get their cars to drive all of us over. I don’t think that they mention it on the website either but they do also charge extra for parking and rope to tie the tubes together. Once we got the tubes we had to get them tied together and tie the cooler in & we were on our way. The water was actually pretty warm probably because the river was so shallow. Because of how shallow it is you really need to make sure your butt isn’t hanging too low or you will hit some river rocks. I guess that the Apple River has a little bit of a bad reputation for how wild it gets but we didn’t see anything too bad.
At our first stop along the river. Leanne, Jessie, friendly person from South Dakota, me, & Lynsie.
